In DuPage County, Illinois, over 250 DuPage United leaders gathered on November 13th to celebrate the groundbreaking for 42 affordable housing units for families and people with special needs. Leaders were told this could never happen in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, but this development will transform an old, run-down motel into a beautiful apartment building while quadrupling the tax revenue. Elected officials were recognized for their support and made commitments to clear the way for five more affordable housing developments across the county.
