Lake County United leaders met on November 16th to address the housing shortage crisis across the county. With $3 million in state funding for affordable housing successfully leveraged, LCU secured commitments from the Mayor and the County Board Member to expedite approval processes, identify additional land, and help secure additional funding for housing. The CEO of Lake County Partners, which represents the corporate sector, attended and shared the economic implications of this shortage in attracting and keeping businesses from moving out of state.
