Breukelen Houses leaders

A year and a half ago, East Brooklyn Congregations Leader Tita Concepcion from Our Lady of the Presentation had to organize house meetings, and a giant press conference in her lobby to force NYCHA to fix the front door. Today, not only is the front door fixed but the intercom is working and they have a security camera. As she said set at a recent house meeting, “We now have the safest building in the development because of the work we did.” The old manager got removed, too. 

This week, the new manager was summoned to Ms. Tita’s living room to hear her and seven of her neighbor’s expectations and demands. It looks like it’s going to be a much better relationship.
