Bard Brooklyn and East Brooklyn Congregations (EBC) went into their first public action together. Bard Brooklyn turned out 307 parents, students and faculty to go public with their demand that the Chancellor of the Department of Education, under direction of the Mayor, relocate them into a new school building by September of 2027.
This action followed 3 month campaign to listen to over 400 students teachers and parents on the ground, then research actions to survey conditions of building, then identify new school location and EBC taking it directly to the Mayor. Rev. David Brawley told students at the action "EBC is here because you (students) are here and you are fighting.  If you keep fighting, EBC will keep fighting with you. And together, we will win a new building!" Rev. Rashad Moore also helped lead the action.”
